Earth-mass primordial black hole mergers as sources for nonrepeating fast radio bursts

چکیده
Fast radio bursts (FRBs) are mysterious astronomical transients with extremely short intrinsic duration. Until now, the physical origins of them still remain elusive especially for non-repeating FRBs. Strongly inspired by recent progress on possible evidence Earth-mass primordial black holes, we revisit model holes mergers as sources Under null hypothesis that observed FRBs originated from analyzed four independent samples to study parameters i.e. typical charge value $q_{\rm{c}}$ and power index $\alpha$ distribution function hole population $\phi(q) \propto (q/q_{\rm{c}})^{-\alpha}$ which describe how was distributed in population. $q$ is unit $\sqrt{G} M$, where $M$ mass hole. It turns out this can explain data well. {Assuming monochromatic spectrum holes}, get average $\bar{q}_{\rm{c}}/10^{-5}=1.59^{+0.08}_{-0.18}$ $\bar{\alpha}=4.53^{+0.21}_{-0.14}$ combining fitting results given FRB samples. The event rate be explained context model, if abundance populations $q \gtrsim 10^{-6}$ larger than $10^{-5}$ far below upper limit current observations holes. In future, simultaneous detection high frequency gravitational waves produced may directly confirm or deny model.

Sensitivity of HAWC to Primordial Black Hole Bursts
Primordial Black Holes (PBHs) are gravitationally collapsed objects that may have been created in the early universe and could have arbitrarily small masses down to the Planck scale. Hawking showed that due to quantum effects, a black hole has a temperature inversely proportional to its mass and will emit all species of fundamental particles thermally. PBHs with initial masses of ∼ 5.0× 1014 g ...
متن کاملTracing black hole mergers through radio lobe morphology.
Binary supermassive black holes are produced by galactic mergers as the black holes from the two galaxies fall to the center of the merged system and form a bound pair. The two black holes will eventually coalesce in an enormous burst of gravitational radiation. Here we show that the orientation of a black hole's spin axis would change dramatically even in a minor merger, leading to a sudden fl...

I overview the current understanding of the evolution of massive black hole (MBH) binaries in the center of the host stellar system. One of the main questions is whether the stellar dynamical effect can make the MBH binary hard enough that they can merge through gravitational wave radiation. So far, theories and numerical simulations suggested otherwize, since the hardening timescale becomes ve...

www.physicstoday.org After decades of effort, numerical relativists can now simulate the inspiral and merger of two black holes orbiting each other. That computational triumph has come none too soon—physicists are on the verge of detecting gravitational waves for the first time, and at long last they know what to look for. Black holes are strong-field objects whose properties are governed by Ei...
متن کاملBlack Hole-Neutron Star Mergers as Central Engines of Gamma-Ray Bursts.
Hydrodynamic simulations of the merger of stellar mass black hole-neutron star binaries are compared with mergers of binary neutron stars. The simulations are Newtonian but take into account the emission and back-reaction of gravitational waves. The use of a physical nuclear equation of state allows us to include the effects of neutrino emission. For low neutron star-to-black hole mass ratios, ...
